STUDENT WORK

Our Senior Design theme for our year long project was "Technology Embedded in Eyewear". Over the course of the 2007 school year, we carefully narrowed down our concept, which would eventually be realized fully in polished aluminum as an exercise in craftsmanship.

Beneath its shiny exterior, this artistic tool incorporated a number of cutting edge technologies at the time. The stylus uses an accelerometer and gyro meter to measure motion and tilt, and likewise utilizes both infrared and Bluetooth technologies to interact with a sensor bar hidden within the eyewear which will ultimately send information via wi-fi to the central docking hub as well as the internet.
